@der_jeff Have to blame the previous owner for that. You may have heard of them, a company that's fairly big in tech these days. Apple.
A reseller has had a deal with them for about ten years: they buy 2-yr-old laptops that Apple execs have finished using & sell them on to the public. They're all max spec, this 11.6 inch 2014 MBA has 512 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM & a 1.7 GHz Haswell Core i7.

That's horrible news. As far as I'm aware, NO* virus can be treated with antibiotics. So extreme cleanliness is essential.

*that's the message decent medical practitioners out here are being prompted to tell the public.

The not-so-decent practitioners are those weak arseholes who bow to their patients' demands to provide antibiotics anyway. And there are too many of those scum.

76 sq m? Bloody hell, that's nasty, my place is 88 sq m & that's a 3 bedroom unit on a big double house block, there are 6 others of the same size here.

Be very careful if it is RSV. Wash hands thoroughly & often.

Barry Morse aslo played the role of naive and highly unpopular President Johnny Cyclops in the mid-1980s LWT TV series "Whoops Apocalypse," which can be vieded/downloaded on YouTube.

Hmmm: naive & highly unpopular. Reminds me of the current Prez.

mentioned on pnut.io that he had added all those following him to his follow list. I decided to do the same and have just done so here as well. There were some surprising omissions.

I saw three different blurbs all animating OK; all about I am a fish.

@der_jeff Even with the 24 month statutory warranty we get in Oz, that would have run out in August last year.

Dopey cock-sucking morons. Cunt, er Cult-of-Mac have a Mac buyback scheme. Here’s a link to the one for the 15-inch MacBook.

This is not the MacBook Pro. This is the NEVER-RELEASED 15-inch MacBook.
Fuckwits.

For the first time since 2004 with numerous similar Apple laptop chargers, one of the fold-out cable retaining clips failed. They pivot on a tiny plastic nub on each side & one somehow broke off & would fall out if I tried to fold it out.
All fixed now.

IMG_2098.JPG
First I drilled a tiny 1mm hole in the body & aligned the clip before drilling into it as well. Next I increased the holes to 3mm and eased a red-hot piece of thick wire into the holes. When it was cool enough I cut the wire as close as possible to the charger body and ground it back with 60-grit emery paper on a power sander until no sharp edges protruded.
I then used a bit of 180-grit emery paper to smooth the finish as much as possible.
