I remembered almost everything. Except the car keys. Had to go back inside for them.
I wonder what I'm going to leave behind at Mum's place today? Two weeks ago it was a multi-meter with a variety of test keads and a precision screwdriver set.
Mum's loungeroom reading lamp failed. My brother & sister found a loose fitting and when they put it back together & tried a new globe, it didn't work so it was thrown out.
Mum asked me to give it a final look over. Turns out the globe was a dud. All fixed.
Bummer. Looks like a favourite tea brand is no longer available in the supermarkets. Seems I have to buy online but there are still some tea shops to check first.
I buy small tubs of egg fried rice which I reheat in the microwave for a simple lunch but while tasty enough with basmati rice, carrot, peas & chopped egg omelette pieces, it lacks something. That is rectified by the inclusion of slices of Chinese lap cheong pork sausages. They really lift the flavour.
Aaaanndd, just as I start recovering from the twinge in my back that made walking so difficult, I developed gout in my left ankle overnight. Which makes walking even more awkward. Trying to favour one ankle without stressing the hip/back area on the other side is nigh on impossible. Ergo, I'm housebound today, I had hoped to visit my mother some 25 minutes away by car.
