All done. Operation successful. My friend has broadband working at last. Had to partially rewire the phone cables in his house: existing wiring section was of an unsuitable type & breaking down due to crook insulation. Stayed on for dinner & boozy drinks.

@nitinkhanna Within a building only. Peculiarly, a licence holder was required to fit/install terminal/distribution boxes but no licence was needed to fit terminal units or to terminate any conductors to them.
Last week I thought I'd bought a pair of fitted single-bed sheets because I'd shredded the last good one with a combination of restless leg syndrome & sharp toenails.
Last night I opened the 2nd pack and found it was a flat sheet, so I actually have a set.
I guess I'm a sucker for app packages, yesterday I paid US$33·15 for a bunch of 8 apps, of which I'll certainly use three or maybe four. The three that will get used are PDF Expert, Waltr 2 & Toast Titanium 16.
