Massaging of tendon bunch nexus HAS reduced the pain from the pinched nerve in the shoulder.

Beside the armpit, below the collarbone & just above the bruise is a spot where the shoulder/arm tendons meet in a bunch. Past experience shows massaging that spot can lead to a reduction in pain from the pinched shoulder nerve. Trying that now.

In too much pain now to sleep. A nerve in my left shoulder gets pinched under such trauma as I experience in the crash.

I do. They're reliable, cheapish to buy & own, although the Hondas & Toyotas are made in Thailand now.

So there I was, sitting in the car, ears ringing & finding it hard to see because of the haze from the gas used to deploy the airbags. The engine was stopped, the horn was blaring and just wouldn't stop. I sat there for what seemed like a minute before finding my glasses on the floor & getting out.

The entire plastic front bumper was on the ground, still held onto the body with two screws. A couple of swift kicks got that out of the way and I was able to rip the wire away from the blaring horn to shut the horrid fucker up.

Traffic was sneaking past on the left side of the road, I was able to start up & drive off the side where it was a bit safer. Passers by manhandled the other vehicle into position behind my car, in the reverse order of the collision.

Police & ambulance arrived. I was checked out and nothing's broken, no alcohol in my system but I'll likely get a traffic infringement for unsafe driving, there'll be a fine as well.

The tow truck driver dropped me off near home as it was on his way to the depot. I'll collect Mum's car later today, get essential food shopping done and go to the depot & collect all my stuff from the wreck. Then I'll get myself checked out thoroughly by my doctor.

Signing off now, the pain in my shoulder & chest is starting to aggravate me & I should try to sleep, it's almost 1:30 am.

So I've been looking online at replacement cars. There are quite a few Toyota Yaris; Honda Jazz (Fit) & Mazda 2 models around 6 years old that fit the bill. So when I am ready to go car hunting, I should be able to find a good'un.

No neck pain or dizziness but my ribs took a bit of a pounding under the violently pre-tensioned seatbelt. There will be bruising evident.

Bruised ribs where I slammed forward into the pre-tensioned seatbelt. Nothing like the similar injury I sustained in 2012: the bruising then lasted over four months. Ambulance staff gave me the all-clear other than for that problem. They also recommended I see my own doctor.

Both airbags deployed, the passenger side one being close to the windscreen, which was cracked so badly the attending police were wondering what happened to whoever had been seated there.
I’m a bit tender, naturally, where the seatbelt pre-tensioned and grabbed me.

I was involved in a collision in heavy traffic 2.5 hours ago. The car is a write-off, that much is pretty obvious. Car ahead of me stopped, so did I but too late. I’ll get on a train tomorrow night and collect Mum’s car, it’s available as she’s given up driving.
