TIL that Commander One Pro app can be used to mount an Android phone or tablet to a Mac for file transfer purposes. That app retails for US $30, I picked it up in a special promotion in Dec 2015 for US $2.

When used with my Lenovo Tab 7 Essential, it shows the micro SD card that's mounted in the external slot. This is a 16 GB card, it can take a 128 GB card if needed.

Q: How do you turn a duck into a soul singer?

A: Microwave it until its Bill Whithers.

Back in the late 1960s, the local Catholic priest, an Irish immigrant, congratulated himself on having driven through a few snow flurries to get to a hall in a sawmilling town that was used for church services.
And then. lurching out of the gloom appeared an apoarition. It was Mrs Rankin, driving the family "car" (really a truck with a van body on it) with seven of her nine kids on board and at least a foot of snow on the roof. She'd driven over unsealed roads for the better part of an hour to get there.
The Rankins worked a farm in a very isolated area.

I feel like I've been ripped off! (Not really). Yesterday I paid $97 for a Lenovo 7-inch widescreen Android tablet. Today I spotted exactly the same one in anotherstore for $96. A few days ago I spent too much time trying to get a 5-year-old Bauhn (ALDI) 9.7-in Android tablet going.

It was an unpleasant experience, quite frrankly. Apps either didn't work properly or failed altogether. The thing had never had an OS update, was stuck on an early iteration of Jelly Bean. This new one came with Android 7 (Nougat) ready to go.

Yes, it's a cheap unit. There's plenty of bigger, faster tablets out there. It lacks a cellular option. The screen resolution is very ordinary, 1024 x 600. But I've had my eyes fixed, so that's less of an issue.

This thing is perfectly fine for casual use, I have something like 108 apps on it. I've fished out the folding Bluetooth keyboard i bought around easter last year, works well with it.

Sick of this sore back, it's far worse than usual. Doctor appointment at 11:30 tomorrow morning.

Fucken abbreviations. I meant Mbps. Blurb rectified.

Have you tried https://chat.10centuries.org/ instead of https://nice.social/? Not sure if it makes any difference, though. Pretty sure one links to the other.

We never had TV until 1968, out on the farm at the end of the road. That's how you do it, go back in time to when there were less alternative media distractions. I still like my R&R (Reading & Radio) to this day.

A few months ago, the National Broadband Network halved the wholesale price of its 50GB down/20GB up connection plans, so my telco announced that 1.3 million users of their 25GB down/5GB up plans would be progressively upgraded to the 50 down/20 up for no extra charge.
My internet died about 20 minutes ago. When it came back up, my download speed was 48.9Mbps down & 13Mbps up. I have a FTTN connection with the last-little-bit of copper being a mere 150 metres long, including the internal wiring.
I'm pleased!

If you follow up a few of the suggestions in this article https://medium.com/@ldstephens/quick-notes-with-nvalt-and-1writer-895a26d1f633 something might be of interest.

Please bear in mind that I'm not really sure about your problem, so it might lead you astray.

Tread warily, mind out for dog poop on your trek.
