Memories from a family reunion 8 years ago. One cousin, whose teenaged kids were into swimming asked one of my brothers if he knew anything about an up & coming 10-year-old swimming star from his part of the state. This 10-year-old girl, Annie, was absolutely blitzing all the opposition in her age group & giving major scares to kids 2 years older.
My brother passed the answering duties over to his wife who said "Annie gets all her athletic abilities from her Aboriginal father's side of the family. Sure as heck she got none from my sister. Yes, I am Annie's aunt."
