@larand The Mazda CX-5 replaced the physically larger CX-7 yet the 5 is virtually the same size inside & has a greater cargo volume.

Winter 2018, day three, 5:20 am. I am in bed, wearing sweatpants & a fluffy dressing gown, with electric blanket on setting 2 of 3. My wool-filled duvet is rated at 3 blankets-weight.
Lower back pain is obtrusive, extensive & ignoring medication. Weather: 3.6˚C with neither wind nor precipitation.
I AM FREEZING MY ARSE OFF. AND GENERALLY UNIMPRESSED WITH LIFE.
Got three Macs to update to 10.13.5: so I'm downloading the relevant Combo Updater (it's 2.49 GB).
@sumudu The iPad 10.5" is an iPad Pro. So yes. Ordinary iPads are 7.9-inch for the Mini & 9.7-inch for the standard one . iPad Pros are/have been 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch or 12.9-inch.
I have the new (new to me, at least) G3Pismo PowerBook. It’s fitted with a wifi card & has a viable internal HD which boots quicker than the CompactFlash installation (connected via FW CF card reader.)
The battery is shot, not unexpected in an 18-yr-old laptop. I can get a new one for $55 plus delivery, will investigate that. And I can connect an 802.11n PCMCIA (CardBus) network card to speed things up internet-wise if necessary.
I need to check the weather forecast. This is where the Windows Phone app 4castr is so good.
Trivia time. Robert FitzRoy, who commanded the Beagle and hired Charles Darwin as an educated companion for the voyage invented the word “Forecast” to describe his weather observation-based predictions.
He was one of the first weathermen as we understand the word.
@hazardwarning Wired uses up valuable USB ports, esp when talking Apple gear. Only 17” laptops have ever had more than two such ports.
The main reason though, for buying that mouse is its very programmable, small to suit my small hands and mot a touch surface like the Apple mouse. I have a mostly permanent twitch in my hands, can’t use the Apple mouse effectively.

@hazardwarning I bought a Logitech mouse a few years ago that goes for at least a year on a pair of AA alkalines. This was the Mac version, white in colour & $10 cheaper than the black windows version. The Windows one has a button with the Windows logo on it, the same button on the Mac one is unmarked.
Then I lost the thing, couldn’t find it anywhere so I replaced it with the Windows one.
I found the white one only 7 hours ago, under a little-used computer backpack bag.
It’s on it’s 2nd set of batteries & they’re still OK.
