I’m now setting up my new iPhone 15 Pro. Since I have chosen a natural Titanium colour I have decided to give it the name of “TiPhone” in honour of the G4 Titanium PowerBook informally known as the “TiBook.”
I’m using the side-by-side data transfer method.

I needed to sign an online form as part of the trade-in of my current iPhone 13 Mini, so I selected “Window” in Safari on the Mac and moved the page to my iPad Air 5. There I used the Apple Pencil to provide the signature and the mouse connected to the Mac to finish the process.
It just works…

Done it. Took three goes before the transaction was complete. On Friday next week I collect my new iPhone 15 Pro. I've chosen 256 GB capacity and natural Toitanium finish. Apple's trade-in process will account for just under 25% of the purchase price when I send back my current iPhone 13 Mini.

Australia doesn't offer the same generous trade-in deals on used Apple gear compared to the USA when used to offset the cost of new gear but it has been determined that my two-year old iPhone 13 Mini 128 GB is worth A$500 as a trade-in.
I have assessed my desires and finances and will most likely be buying an iPhone 15 Pro 256 GB in natural titanium colour/finish. See my previous post for the reason for that choice of colour.

If you’re planning on getting an iPhone 15 Pro, either get a case and use it or choose the white or natural finish. There’s a sound metallurgical reason for such a choice: you can’t polish out scratches in titanium. The previous 14 Pro used stainless steel which is much harder than titanium. Any scratches on a 15 Pro’s titanium will show as natural titanium and be far more obvious on the blue and black models. They’d be less visible on the white and natural colour finishes. My personal choice would be natural.

Today I bought a 56V Ego Power self-propelled electric lawn mower. Most impressed with it, there are several stages for the drive speed, currently my knee and back conditions restrict me to using the minimum setting.
The thing has a pair of LED light on the front but how desperate do you have to be to mow in darkness?

The horse says "I don't think." and promptly disappears.
This is a reference to the quote "I think, therefore I am."
But had I explained that earlier, it would have been putting Descartes before the horse.

Welcome to "Owning up to Flatulence Club," But I warn you, it's not for the "ain't farted."

I held off cooking up a cheese, bacon and zucchini tart because it wouldn’t fit in the microwave oven because its length overhung the turntable. It fits just fine in the new flatbed oven because there’s no turning of the contents needed.

It’s just a sync issue…
