Spent the last few hours converting various Christmas quizzes into crossword clues before compiling a crossword for the December issue of the Mac User Group's monthly magazine. Download it here http://d.pr/f/K6dh if interested.

& this is my minimalist one on the iPad.

Public holiday today. One of the sillier ones. There's this annual horse race that's worth a lot of money.
Folk like me who couldn't give a rat's arse about horses (smelly great monsters) get to suffer from lack of public services open.

Much knee awkwardness today, had to wear an elastic brace for support.

Most milk marketed here as "Light" or "Lite" is between 1.3 & 1.5% fat. My sister was querying the logic of "light" Jersey milk as that's generally the creamiest of the lot.
I bought some today, Jersey milk is significantly higher in protein compared to other milk. The Jersey milk I get in light form has 2% fat vs 4.2% for the full-cream variety. Both are 3.9% protein, most other milk being around 3.2%. So light Jersey milk has midlevel fat & very high protein.

Why does it take so much longer to verify an iOS OTA upgrade than it does to download in the first place?

Seems like my home internet may have been restricted, either blocked or slowed down due to late bill payment. It was working OK three hours ago. I think. Maybe it was slow. Dunno. I've paid the bill since then & notified the carrier/ISP that payment has been made. Probably just have to wait for the bank to process the transaction.
I'm not home now & won't be back for at least three hours.

Mac User Group member is wondering why Photoshop Elements 10 is behaving oddly on his Mavericks iMac. Consensus from the group's bulletin board is that PE 10 works with OS 10.5.8 thru to 10.7.5. He's using 10.9.5.

@skematica The 64 GB one I had was fine but too small for storing everything as an offline backup whereas 128 GB will suffice. I also have an iPhone SE. The major problem with the iPod Touch I had was it didn't like water immersion.
