Street party. Loud (excessive) music of dubious taste (modern?). I went to bed a few hours ago to avoid it as much as possible.
Now, two hours later, it's 10:30 pm & the older generation gets to play their music. Perversely, I always liked Patrick Fernandez's "Born To Be Alive," which is what I woke up to.
Might be doing some internal announcement now cos the noise has abated.
That took my breath away. Six kg of cat jumped from the windowsill & landed on all four feet on my stomach as I lie abed. Oooooophh!

@gtwilson More likely he's still using iOS 10.1.1, build 14B100, apparently updating to iOS 10.1.1, build 14B150 fixes this issue.

However, it's also not available as an OTA update, it must be done via iTunes and the update is over 2 GB in size.

Successfully backed up the iPhone to an external HD using iMazing app and now that backup is recognised by iTunes.
Just lost three months of Time Machine backups. Something went out of whack with the ext drive and nostter how long the backup drive was connected, it would never back up.
It's one of two Time Machine backups, plus there are 2 different clones, so it's mot totally crucial. I erased the drive with Disk Utility & am mow performing a new initial 140 GB backup.
