I need to set up a different phone bill payment on my iOS jiggers: currently I use a credit card. My next bill includes a $0.51 credit card payment processing fee from last month's bill. Or just stop using the carrier's iOS app to make payments.
I do have the option of PayPal but after their last upfuck in sending my payment to the wrong billing section I vowed to avoid paying phone bills with them. Due to the misdirection the carrier charged a late payment fee despite me extending the billing period to cover the discrepancy. It was all sorted out in the end but still took 2 weeks of to-ing & fro-ing between myself, the carrier & PayPal. Fuck that. Not going there again.
@hazardwarning Telstra says that 2G accounts for 0.2% of calls made. There's more chance of a 3G signal getting through than 2 G anyway. When Telstra moved from CDMA (their analogue network replacement) to 3G they retained the 850 MHz spectrum of CDMA for use with 3G.

@phoneboy Telstra, the largest of three carriers in Oz, is shutting down 2G at the end of this month. Optus, the next largest keeps it until April next year & Vodafone-Hutchison will then be the only provider of 2G & their coverage is less than the two main players. My mother's mobile phone is a 2G one (with a 3G SIM) but since she hasn't used it for 12 months, it just won't get reconnected.

And so to bed, just after midnight. With a nice hot malted milk drink to assist sleeping.
@matigo The local news says he gets to keep his job as a zookeeper. There was some doubt, apparently.
@matigo Plus, I've only had the thing 5 weeks. Maybe the battery needs longer to settle.
The sudden battery drain problem afflicting many users' iPhones seems to also be affecting my new-ish 128 GB iPod Touch. It's sufficiently similar in shape & size to my iPhone SE that it can fit in the external battery case that fits any iPhone 5-sized device. So I can tickle up the battery any time it's starting to drop.
Just used the old-fashioned Eno to sooth my latest reflux bout. Nice to know the old formulation still works.
Due to iCloud's inability to sync PDFs properly between devices, I now use iCloud Drive to save & share PDFS. In iOS 10.1.1 there's a share sheet for iCloud Drive.
In a blast of sheer inventiveness, I have created a folder in iCloud Drive for such things. It's called "Stuff."
