Meanwhile on Twitter my friends are arguing about whether to use "nob" or "knob" as the correct spelling for an insulting term.

The jury is out.

How very interesting, we had the same overnight temperature last night, which was the final night in Spring in the Southern Hemisphere .

Tried using Bluetooth on the Men's Shed 2013 iMac to transfer some photos from a member's cheap piece-of-utter-shit Android phone. Bloody Mac kept dropping the pairing. Fortunately I had my 2014 MBA along, it was able to sustain the connection. Once on my Mac I used AirDrop to get the pics onto the iMac.

A few years ago I paid $15 for a basic USB stereo speaker/sound card. I tried it yesterday on the Men's Shed's 21.5-in iMac. It highlighted just how awful the standard speakers are.

A few macOS versions ago, I made an Automator service to import pics into the Photos app, then trash the originals. It doesn't work properly under Sierra & frankly isn't needed now. It's more effective to Share to Photos via contextual menu. Deletion of the originals are done via Command-Option-Delete & selecting Delete from there. The unwanted pics are deleted immediately, bypassing the Trash process.

The McDonalds sign that used to be outside the New South Wales town of Yass has been removed.

Job done: Magsafe 2 adaptor glued to slightly faulty Magsafe 1 MBA charger & damaged insulation fixed with heat-shrink tubing.

Found hiding in a cupboard: the original power brick for the previous MBA: one of the five spring-loaded poles in the L-shaped Magsafe 1 tip was stuck down, unable to complete the circuit when in "cable behind" the laptop, only worked in "cable beside" orientation, which then prevented use of the adjacent USB port. I had to replace that adaptor.
But the newer MBA has the Magsafe 2 connection & $12 will get me a Magsafe 1 to Magsafe 2 adaptor, I'd be able to use the old dodgy Magsafe 1 tip on the new MBA effectively because the adaptor can be reversed, uncovering the USB port.

@skematica Have you tried Clementine app on the Mac?
