over the summer period just passed, I enjoyed elderflower syrup as a reconstituted (cordial) fruit drink. That brand was an occasional one at Aldi, but there is another local maker who does the stuff. They also make Pomegranate & Elderflower cordial. That does sound most refreshing, based on previous experience with pomegranate juice.
Dear American novelists: stop it. If you mean "discomfort," then use that word. "Discomfit" is ugly in this context and "discomfiture" should be hung, drawn & quartered, burnt at the stake, boiled in oil and shunned. It's both excessive & unnecessary.
