I may never use it, but it was a bargain: I found a USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adaptor in a clearance box in the local big hardwarew chain store, cost all of $2.
@hazardwarning I thought I had a cold/cough problem. But it was pneumonia, which caused sepsis, which brought on low blood pressure, cold clammy skin, dizziness, difficulty to find a pulse and acute kidney failure.
Kidneys have recovered: treatment for sepsis was rapid IV fluids & antibiotics. this worked & blood pressure stabilised to normal levels.
I just skipped permanent kidney damage and possible death.
It really was that close, sepsis is a right bastard.
Take care, please. I didn’t & it could have cost me dearly.

@streakmachine piece or peace?
As in “I’ll give so-and-so a piece of my mind!”
or “relaxation will aid my peace of mind.”?
Sneaky indeed. Times Newer Roman is a sneaky font designed to make your essays look longer, the following link to The Verge contains a download link: https://www.theverge.com/2018/9/18/17875054/times-newer-roman-font-essay-length
Yes, I installed that font.
Unexpected phone call from the store where I bought the Samsung T5 ext SSD yesterday. Sales bloke said I was as owed a $41 refund because the item I’d bought was on sale at that lower price.
Refund collected.
In preparation for the arrival of Mojave & the death of my 32-bit apps, today I bought a 250 GB Samsung T5 ultra-portable SSD & cloned my MacBook Pro’s SSD to it. I then removed all the Setapp-related stuff from the new drive & reinstalled owned versions of the essential apps that were replaced by Setapp on the internal drive. Next I ran DiskWarrior to sort out and directory inconsistencies.
It’s such a tiny little thing, weighing in at 51 grams & is roughly 74 x 57 x 10 mm in size. It has a USB-C port & USB-C/USB-C plus USB-c/USB-3·0 (USB-A) connection cables.
It is apparently one of the fastest to read & write of all currently available small SSDs around.
@hybotics Nasty, I feel for you, I came out of hospital on Friday, having been afflicted with pneumonia, sepsis, low blood pressure and acute renal failure.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
@streakmachine I especially like they way you can drag & drop files directly onto the device’s icon in the right column and choose (if necessary) which app it’s to go with.

@sumudu That I doubt very much. The first gen iPad maxed out at iOS 5.1.1.
Perhaps you meant ist gen iPad Pro?
/@matigo @hazardwarning
@matigo Even different iPhone models have different downloads.
