@sumudu You must have a slowly updating App Store or you don’t use it often enough. Safari 12 was updated before Mojave arrived. https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/09/17/apple-releases-safari-12-for-owners-of-macos-sierra-high-sierra
Petrol prices are on a major spike in these parts at present. There are two fuel stations within 10 km that are under $1.50 per litre, most suburbs/regions are either side of $1.65 & those prices are for 10% ethanol fuel - regular 91-octane is a few cents per litre higher.
In one rural city some 50 km away, most fuel stations are in collusion, it would appear. Their prices are even lower than my local ones, most being around $1.44 per litre - they’ve been keeping their prices lower than surrounding districts for at least 18 months.
Around midnight (almost 5 hours ago) I suddenly had a sharp, taut pain across my chest seemingly radiating out from my sternum. And it wouldn’t go away. I’m still recovering from pneumonia & need to attend a respiratory specialist to check on lung function, there may be some existing lung damage to the lower left lung. I was rather conserned to be experiencing chest pain in this context.
Turns out to have been gastric reflux. A chewable tablet consisting of a pleasant minty taste & 250mg Sodium Alginate, 106.5mg Sodium Bicarbonate and 187.5mg Calcium Carbonate fixed the ptoblem within five minutes.
I have just realised that the Samsung T5 ext SSD’s security setup can be turned off. While on, it initially mounts on the desktop as from a hidden & non-removable password=protected partition. Entering the password unmounts the hidden partition & mounts the actual SSD itself.
Deactivating the security partition means it acts as a conventional external drive.
@variablepulserate There are mitre saws that cut at various angles with the blade vertical. Compound mitre saws add the ability to tilt the blade as well. Mitre saws & compound mitre saws pivot in a vertical-oriented arc to cut the material. A sliding compound mitre saw adds the advantage of a radial arm saw to the mix, meaning you pivot the saw down first, then push it forward through the material. Sliding saws can cut much wider stuff.
The State Men’s Shed organisation is grouped into Clusters, our Shed has traditionally & geographically been affiliated with the Sheds in the southeastern rural region of Victoria but recently we were invited to participate in another Cluster, based in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne & the Mornington Peninsula.
At every Cluster gathering there are donated powertools raffled off.
Thus far, we’ve attended two Southern Clusted gatherings, our Secretary going along two months ago to the inaugural Southern Cluster meeting (in the rural Cluster we’d been attending them for over 8 years) and our Shed won the main prize of an airless (no compressor needed) spray painting device.
Earlier today I attended the second such meeting for the Cluster, again we came away with the main prize, a 10-inch circular sliding compound mitre saw. We already have a larger, better example with a 12-inch. blade, so we’ll offer this new device for any members to buy for their home workshops. Already have had a firm offer of $100, approx half its retail value.
@joeo10 I baulked at the upgrade price for version X so I stumped up for a prepaid 12-month subscription (thus saving 10%) for the Setapp suite.
@joeo10 I just updated Vivaldi myself, using the Updater built into CleanMyMac X.
@larand He was a dancer in real life, probably the most nimble & physically adept of all the actors on F Troop. Which made it extra funny to see him bumbling & stumbling around the set.
