@variablepulserate I just need a good ?
Lumia 1520 (spare phone) is stuck with an unresponsive touch screen plus the power button does nothing. Reckon it’s fuct. It’s mostly used as a wifi hotspot at my mother’s place or when I’m travelling as it has a generous 12-month data plan which is due for renewal in two days. I’ve used about 35 GB out of 80 GB & if I recharge within 24 hrs of the plan’s expiry, I get to roll over the unused 50-odd GB.
Totally bonkers, I’d never used 130 GB.
As for the apparently dead 1520, I’m replacing it tomorrow with a Nokia 7.1 Android One handset.
Android One = three years of security updates & a guaranteed 2-full OS version updates. Plus it’s pure unskinned Android.
I’ll probably go for the $99 (12 GB) one-year plan & top up with an extra 20 GB for $50 later in the year.
112 cans of soft drink purchased. That will make a total of 113 cans in the Men’s Shed fridge & storage cupboard.
@larand Known in these parts as Scotch fillet. To be called ribeye here it has to have the bone still attached. Either way, a delightful cut of meat, both tender & flavoursome.

Spare phone 12-month plan due for recharge on Saturday, current deal of $249 for unlimited calls, SMS & MMS & 80 GB of data would be excessive, given that I only used about 35 GB for the previous 12 months.
Carrier offers a $99 12-month deal with the same lack of limits but with just 12 GB data. When that is consumed, extra data packs of 3 GB ($15); 20 GB ($50) or 50 GB ($100).
Going by the usage over the last year, I could get by with the $99 base plan plus a $50 (20 GB) topup & if needed a further $15 boost giving me a total of 35 GB.
Or I might over the year need 20 GB more: my costs for 55 GB would be $199.
I doubt I’ll need to pay the full $249 figure, I can’t use all that data.
@matigo Lithium batteries are starting to appear in electronics retailers as replacements for lead-acid in deep-cycle applications, not at unreasonable prices, either.
@matigo One aspect nof LibreOffice I never liked was it would only display the top ½ of a page in the word processing app.
