I upgraded my Nokia 7.1’s 12-month mobile plan to a lesser amount because I’d never use the 80 GB allowance plus if I had renewed at the same level, the unused 50.6 GB component from the previous year would have rolled over.
The plan has two sections, a Pay-as-you-go base plan that costs a minimum of $15 p.a. & the added data & unlimited calls/SMS/MMS portion.
The PAYG credit is used to cover international calls & video/audio files sent via MMS. I discovered another use for the PAYG credit: it can be used to offset the price of the $99 0r $249 Super Special 365 day plan.
I had in the normal course of events, accumulated $40 in PAYG credit so I chose to apply $30 to the $99/12 GB annual plan. So I paid $69 instead of $99 & off-loded excess PAYG credit.

When the 12 GB runs out I can add a $50 data allowance of 20 GB which may be all I’d need for the rest of the year, based on previous usage.

Very clear, it uses a 12 MP camera with a 5 MP dept-of-field sensor. The camera app is identical to the one used on the Lumia Windows phones, lots of adjustable Pro settings if desired.

Nokia 7.1 purchased. Far from the worst mobile phone experience out there.

Actually it was trying to tell me the tally of dead mice was up by one.

4:50 am, the cat has jumped onto the bed to say hello. Or more likely, I suspect, to say “Feed me!”

I just need a good ?

Lumia 1520 (spare phone) is stuck with an unresponsive touch screen plus the power button does nothing. Reckon it’s fuct. It’s mostly used as a wifi hotspot at my mother’s place or when I’m travelling as it has a generous 12-month data plan which is due for renewal in two days. I’ve used about 35 GB out of 80 GB & if I recharge within 24 hrs of the plan’s expiry, I get to roll over the unused 50-odd GB.
Totally bonkers, I’d never used 130 GB.
As for the apparently dead 1520, I’m replacing it tomorrow with a Nokia 7.1 Android One handset.
Android One = three years of security updates & a guaranteed 2-full OS version updates. Plus it’s pure unskinned Android.

I’ll probably go for the $99 (12 GB) one-year plan & top up with an extra 20 GB for $50 later in the year.

112 cans of soft drink purchased. That will make a total of 113 cans in the Men’s Shed fridge & storage cupboard.

Known in these parts as Scotch fillet. To be called ribeye here it has to have the bone still attached. Either way, a delightful cut of meat, both tender & flavoursome.

Very true.
