Being over the age of 60 now, I have applied for a Seniors Card. Various businesses & organisations offer discounts for cardholders, such as 50% cost of weekday public transport & free weekend public transport.
I’ll have to take up fishing again! Seniors Cardholders are exempted from the requirement to have a fishing licence.
Recieved a birthday card from the local MP congratulating me on reaching 60. He listed a number of significant things in Australia during that year. One of them being the first Holder motor car to roll off the production lines. He was a bit out there, only by 10 years, though.
It worries me that a fellow seeking re-election would put out stuff like this without a thorough proof-reading. Election is in two days.

@matigo It took longer to get the artwork applied properly than it did to download the videos for conversion. A great app called Softorino YouTube Converter handles the conversion, I just have to copy the URL, the app detects the videi, its preferences are to convert to .aac format & download to a particular folder.
Yes, it’s piracy. But I don’t care. If the artist or iTunes won’t make a 2015 album available in my country then I’d use my apps & internet to acquire it. Fuck ‘em & feed ‘em Froot Loops.
Suffice to say, I now have Antti Martikainen’s Land of the Brave album in iTunes & it’s been matched on iCloud by iTunes Match.
Because the conversions I did were from YouTube videos, the bitrate was 125 kbps, not overly high. But this is where iTunes Match comes in: all 15 tracks have been matched by iTunes Match - at 256 kbps.
So I deleted the downloads & downloaded the higher bitrate ones from iTunes iCloud Music Library.
