Since the family Easter gathering will be at my sister’s newly-renovated house I had to make sure my emergency bed was operational. There are enough rooms at my sister’s home just not enough beds.
The bed I intend using is a double sized inflatable unit. It has its own mains-powered inflator/deflator but I wanted to try my new purchase, a Ryobi One+ tyre pump & low pressure inflator/deflator powered by an 18-volt cordless tool battery.
I already have three lithium-ion batteries & two older NiCad one to go with my existing Ryobi One+ tools*, so I grabbed the big one from the chainsaw in the garage.
It works, albeit slower than the mains-powered unit but its also quieter, which is handy if more air is needed during the night.

*Existing One+ tools: Hammer drill; flourescent light; wet-dry handheld vac; chainsaw; line trimmer & a multi-fold LED worklight.
