I lengthened the power cord of my old steam iron years ago by cutting off the plug on the cord & the socket of an extension lead, joining the two with a compact junction box wrapped in PVC tape.
Two days ago I needed the junction box to convert a fan heater to a longer power lead from an older dead heater. The junction box was mounted onto the base of the new heater.
I'm going to reconnect the leftover bits with an IEC male/female connector setup.

@hybotics I railed against Apple for years for doing that with Safari. Then, when I had my cataracts fixed, I discovered the fuzzy grey text was sharp & black.
@matigo Certain ingredients required for a BLT are not in this house. Like bacon, lettuce or tomato. I decided to have a toasted scrambled egg sandwich.
@hybotics I've been noticing some hip pain lately. Plus there's a history of perthes disease in the family.
Dinner time. Don't want pizza, steak, pasta, fish or cheese. This rather narrows the option to a toasted sandwich of some sort.
Are placement battery for the pre-unibody MBP arrived this week. Part of the packaging is a rectangle of sponge foam. It'll be put to use as a boot polish applicator.
