Just received an e-mail with a link to a YouTube video of a young lady playing "The Last Post" on a violin. Very nice rendition, too.
The e-mail's text mentioned that both of her great-grandfathers didn't make it back home from war service.
Not to belittle that tale in the very least, but I had four great-grandfathers, not just two.
Or maybe cousins were a bit closer in her family.
Bought a cheap $40 battery about a year ago for the pre-unibody MacBook Pro. It's had a grand total of 5 charge cycles and now the system says Replace Battery. So I will. With a more expensive one from a different supplier. #Bastids.

Made it to the car battery shop. The battery I needed was out of stock. So they fitted one with narrower posts and special lead sleeves over the posts to make up the difference.
Last night at a Mac User group meeting I was giving the audience a run-down on the fnd.io website, which is an unofficial software search site for all Apple Stores. The next presentation was to be on Pages app on the Mac, so I chose to search for Pages.
The site quickly displayed the Apple app Pages for both iOS & Mac, plus several other apps with Pages in their names.
Then I went hunting for a particular book, which was found in very short order.
Some ratbag in the mob then drew my attention back to Pages with an inane question, so I searched for Pages again, but this time with the Books tab selected on the website.
Nothing was found, so I announced that there were limitations: You can't find Pages in Books.
Had a chat a few hours ago with the gentleman who bought my old 11-in MBA (2011 model) a year ago. His son who uses it at university reckons it's still pretty good and the only real problem, lack of decent battery life, is addressed via a HyperJuice external battery.
