@matigo I had selected DVD as the media type then used a DL DVD. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. Now doing it again on standard DVD.
I've been using this wrist brace since 2007, so I guess it's no surprise that one of the glued-on velcro fasteners came off. I used Velcro cable ties to replace the missing portion.
Must check my Roxio Toast DVD burning opgtions: a disc I made today won't play in DVD Player or VLC apps on my Macs yet the disc is fine on home DVD players. Fortunately that's its intended usage scenario.
Lazy bastard app devs. Banking app for iPhone supports Touch ID but not the iPad version. I mean, October 2014 is when Touch ID became available on the iPad.
The moral of the story: don't leave it so long between your Mac hardware updates.
Mac User Group member is going from a Tiger (10.4.11) Mac to a new MacBook Pro running 10.12.5 & wants to keep acess to his email. Is it still possible to set up POP mail on a new Mac?
I've suggested he clone the old Mac to an external USB drive then use it with Migration Assistant when setting up the new Mac.
Target Disk mode would be more complicated/expensive, involving at least three Thunderbolt & Firewire adaptors.
