I'm sure Mum's council-supplied home helper/cleaner means well, but she likes to turn of "unused" items. The upstairs bedroom has a cordless phone charger & a TV antenna mast-mounted amplifier. Both were turned off. The phone battery was dead & TV stations couldn't be received.

@matigo Reminds me of the main swiching room in a major shopping plaza. I went there some ten years ago to diagnose a fault in one of the lines & couldn't get in because the bastards were using the space to store wheelchairs & other mobility aids.
