Mac User group has decided on an iPad-centric annual fund-raising raffle prize selection this year. Last year it was a top-of-the-line 12.9-in iPad Pro with Pencil (1st prize); $500 Apple Store card (2nd) & a 32 GB Apple TV 4 (3rd).
This year 1st prize is a 256 GB cellular & wifi 10.5-in iPad Pro without Pencil); 2nd is a 128 GB cellular & wifi 9.7-in iPad & 3rd will be a 64 GB Apple TV 4.
Last year's main winner was unable to collect his prize because the chosen (non-Apple Store) supplier couldn't get it in stock quickly enough; so the winner took the prize in cash value instead & paid off ½ the cost of his new iMac.

I doubt it's worth trying to get anything through to that mob. Possibly they realised that and changed it again - without telling us of the change.

The neighbourhood house where the Mac User Group holds its monthly committee meeting recently changed its wifi hotspot's SSID & password. We'd been told via email that the new password was "L1f31saWonder," with a mnemonic of Life-Is-a-Wonder. It didn't work when we tried it.

There's a sign-in book at the venue, we discovered & in it was the actual password, being "L1feiswonderful." This one worked fine.

Life is wonderful when different branches of an organisation are working from the same page.

I saw some on Twitter. Most excellent.

No. Jodie Whittaker is NOT the first woman to play the title role in Dr Who. That was Joanna Lumley.

I was talking to a mate about last night's mystery animal, he replied that he'd seen at least one dead deer by the roadside not far from where I'd had the encounter. There's quite a lot of bushland for such critters to roam in.
