If I ever get the G5 PowerMac going again (dud video card) I could use the largest of those three drives in an adaptor plate in that as a second drive, it uses SATA connections.
Three sub-750 GB portable HDs used for Time Machine backups and clones of the 2011 MBP won't be much use on the replacement iMac cos it'll have a 1 TB Fusion drive. Can't use them in my G4 laptops, all three of those have IDE HDs.
Used the "quick wash" feature to get some urgently needed laundry done. It's 4am, the stuff I need desperately should be dry in 5 hours when I'll need it.
I used to own a 2009 MacBook Pro, 13-inch. The Mac User Group bought it from me to use with their lending libray which is now being shut down. The Mac will be offered for sale for $400 with 10.6 & 10.11 on separate partitions of the 320 GB HD (non-standard 7200 rpm).
Since the sudden demise of the 2011 MBP I have a suitable 256 GB SSD available. Tempted to put in a bid but there's complications.
I'll be the one setting up the Mac for sale.
@kdfrawg I'm having my own Mac frustration but it's quite minor. Waiting for funds from a cheque issued by one bank to clear at another. Once that's done I'll load up the credit card and buy a 4k 21.5-in iMac.

Crazy pricing. Take the Mac Mini. Upgrade the 2.6 GHz one to 3 GHz/16 GB RAM & 1 TB Fusion drive and it's $30 more expensive than applying the same upgrades to the 2.8 GHz model. There's no other differences.
I checked at the local Apple Store to see if they had any higher-spec iMacs out the back. There were some, but while they had faster processors & the same Fusion drive as my desired machine, they only had 8 GB of RAM. No good, must have at least 16 for me.
