@matigo excellent print quality. When testing the copier function we couldn’t find any difference between the original & the copy.
Good deed for the day done. Retired friend had inkjet printer trouble, the head wouldn’t move into change printer cartridge position. It was within the warranty period so it was returned & refunded. An extra $100 bought a decent Brother multi-function colour laser printer. Setting up was dead easy. Plug it in & turn it on. Instantly recognised as a printer/scanner by his iMac.
It’s all good now.
@variablepulserate Maybe so, but I definitely posted one message here that never arrived.
I was sure I posted a message here a few hours ago but it hasn’t shown. That’s likely because of a glitch with Macchiato: it tried using the app on the iPad without updating to the new version in TestFlight.
At a meeting today someone had an iPad running iPadOS 13 beta. Using my Lightning to USB-A adapter from the Camera Connector kit I attached a USB drive to it. All content on the drive was visible in the Files app on the iPad.
@matigo The location mentioned, Lake Tyers, is a mix of fresh & seawater, depending on the state of the sandbar across the narrow entrance. So the “observatory” hill mentioned is almost on the (north) coast of Bass Strait. The only artificial lights are from a few white-fella’s settlements & the offshore Bass Strait oil rigs.

@sumudu according to MacTracker app, the 2011 13-in MBA could be had with either a 1.7 GHz i5 or a 1.8 GHz i7.
So I doubt yours has a 1.7 GHz i7. The smaller 11-inch had a choice of 1.6 GHz i5 or 1.7 GHz i7.

My sister was in Chile a few weeks before the devastating earthquakes in 2010.
She’s flying in from New Zealand (where earthquakes can also devastate) from southern California and Seattle about a week ago.
Those regions have had significant earthquakes in the past week.
I’m sensing a bit of a trend here……….
