I have achieved, without partitioning or using virtualisation software, two different macOS installations; Mojave & Catalina on one Mac.
How, you may ask? First I intercepted the Catalina installer, interrupting it & stopping it from going forth to do its deeds. I then used DiskMaker X for Mojave to create a bootable Catalina installer drive.
Next, into Disk Utility & add another volume to the existing Mojave volume. Restarted from the installer drive & told it to install Catalina on the new volume. This eventually happened, taking approx 90 minutes.
After booting into Catalina I set up my secondary (mostly used for testing) Apple ID. That done, I then selected the Mojave volume as the start-up source & now, after a slow start, it’s working OK.
My iMac has a 1.03TB Fusion drive & perhaps the slower bootup was the machine reallocating different apps & processes from the HDD part to the 32 GB SSD component.

Received this doc: its title includes tomorrow’s date. From reading it one assumes the meeting is for Thursday (Oct 17) or Friday (Oct 18). There’s reference to a previous meeting on Oct 3rd.
I queried these discrepancies with a saner member of the committee. She says the meeting is tomorrow!
Well, it took six days & huge doses of anti-gout medication, but the condition has cleared up completely: now when I walk I only have an arthritic knee to bother me.
@variablepulserate Attacks vary. Sometimes ½ a day, this one may linger with slight daily improvements for a week.
Midnight. I’ve been in bed most of the preceding day, severe gout in my left ankle, making walking almost impossible.
Forced myself to go out about 7 hours ago, to top up desperately needed medication as the stuff I was using seemed ineffective.
I needed to use my folding walker to keep my weight off the ankle which is now improving very slowly.
Whilst laid up I have kept myself hydrated but had little interest in food, having consumed ½ a bag of potato chips & 250 a gram tin of smoked sprats.
Having trouble caring about very much at present.
Bloody cat. The end of her elasticised braided polyester collar was so frayed by her scratching at it that it pulled away from the buckle. The whole thing fell off while she was inside, so I was able to locate the ID tag & the hanging magnet that activates the catch in the cat-door to the outside.
Six months ago I bought a flea collar on Amazon (about 50% off normal retail price) and it was still sealed in its plastic wrapping & storage tin.
So now her magnet & ID tag are attached to her new flea collar. It provides 8 months of flea control.
