Mattresses on the floor are completely useless for people like me who have mobility issues: once down it's extremely difficult to get up to a decent working height. I have extreme osteoarthritis in one knee and a degenerative lower back condition. I'm never totally without lower back pain.

Some 15 hours ago my car collided with the next one ahead of it in very slow-moving school-pickup-time traffic. Sufficiently slow that the plastic bumpers of both vehicles absorbed the entire impact force without sustaining any damage to vehicles or passengers.

So, while NBN to me means National Broadband Network, to you it's No Bloody Network? I used to work for Telstra & still have the old superseded microfiche plans of the area. Using those I was able to determine that my conversion from ADSL 2+ to FTTN was only going to have 135 metres of phoneline – including internal wiring – downstream of the node. That's about as good as one can expect. I'm averaging around 99% of the connection speed I'm paying for, again quite acceptable.

Perhaps this app could help? It turns an Android phone or tablet into a keyboard over wifi or Bluetooth.

There's an app on Setapp called Unite, which I tried using to create Site Specific Browsers, or SSBs. I tried it but didn't like the size of the resultant web-apps.
Today I noticed another similar app, also on Setapp, called Coherence Pro. It allows for much more control of web-apps it produces, So it looks like I'll be converting some of my Fluidapp apps over to Coherence Pro ones.

Looks like Apple was the inspiration for the design of the Cybertruck.

The USB-C charge cable that came with the MacBook Pro split its casing just below one of the connectors, I sealed that up with some UV LED-cured liquid plastic, now I’ll keep that cable as a spare. When used for data transfer, it’s USB 2 speed, up to 480 Mbps.
Bought an $18 braided USB-C cable from Amazon, it’s half the length of the original but claims to be able to transfer data at up to 5 Gbps & still be able to supply the full 60W power the Mac needs.
It arrived today, I connected a Samsung T5 ext SSD to the Mac & checked the connection with System Info app.
It isn’t just up to 5 Gbps, it’s up to 10 Gbps, the same as the half-metre long USB-C cable supplied with the T5.
Rather than Apple’s notoriously fragile soft rubbery coating, this cable has a stiffer & much longer-wearing braided nylon outer jacket.
