@variablepulserate There’s also the Fremantle Doctor. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php
@matigo Often enough. I doze off and it falls under the sofa or between cushions.
First AstraZeneca COVID injection administered this morning. I attended a centre set up underneath a racecourse grandstand 40 minutes drive from home. This centre allows for walk in patients as well as those with appointments, I was in the former category and was treated within 20 minutes of arrival. Then spent 15 minutes being monitored for side-effects before being allowed out.
My next injection is due in 12 weeks.
Seems vets around the city are sending condolence cards to folk like myself who have had pets euthanised. I received one, as did my sister (who lives 80 km away) when her cat was “put to sleep.”
The vet just phoned me. A credit for the euthanasia cost has been applied to my account. They had fitted an IV to administer the drugs but that process plus stress of travel in the car & her poor condition caused her death. The euthanasia had been billed but not performed, hence the refund of that component of the bill.
Worried about my cat’s difficulties in breathing & irregular health plus inability to jump effectively, I called the local vet, just 350 metres away. They examined her and agreed with my assessment that euthanasia was the kindest treatment option. They took her out to another room to fit an IV to help calm her prior to injecting the drug cocktail. I paid the bill after filling out the consent form and learning she was gone.
