I'm planning on following the recommendation of an Australian YouTuber who suggests the best chance of the longest Apple laptop battery life is to keep the charge between 50 & 80% of the maximum.
Earlier in the week I bought a 13,500 mAh (output) battery capable of charging at 45W via PD/USB-C. My M1 MacBook Air's charger supplies 30W. The battery has a separate USB-A port rated at up to 18W although if used in conjunction with the 45W USB-C port the output drops from 18W to 10W. The USB-A port has a low-power mode for circuits requiring less than 200 mA. This will make it easy to maintain the M1 MacBook Air within the 58-80% range by freeing me from the need to charge via mains power.

That would be a bit messy.

Classic Aussie Xmas dessert. Pan-fried Xmas fruit cake warmed through & served with a splodge of butter.

When originally built in 1919 it had four rooms.

I have been given a few simple tasks to ease the progress of the family gathering this Xmas. Bring nibbles, such as nuts & chocolates. And a precooked chicken. I'll be adding a bottle of Dubliner Irish whisky I picked up cheaply, my sister's semi-partner from New Zealand will be there - last Xmas when we first met, he had several spiritous liquors along with him. Plus the fixings for some decent proper non-instant coffee.

Two Xmas parties were held at Mum’s aged care place on Dec 18 & 19. Mum couldn’t make it, she had a horrid gastro attack that day & stayed in her room with my sister. A visitor to one of the parties has tested positive to Covid, so all residents are restricted to their rooms & no visitors are allowed until further notice.

Three Monterey Macs tested under Cinebench R23. 2017 4k iMac (3 GHz quad-core i5 with 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD & dedicated GPU); 2017 MB Pro 13-in (no touch bar) with 2.3 GHz dual-core i5 with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD & Intel Iris Graphics 640) plus the M1 MacBook Air (8-core M1 with 256 GB storage, 7 graphics cores & 8 GB Unified Memory). Each test lasted 10 minutes.

13 years ago I bought a Creative D100 speaker set (Bluetooth and/or hard-wired) that normally sold for $100. I got it for $45 in a clearance sale. I mostly use it hard-wired & mains-powered though, connected to an Airport Express. Prior to AirPlay, Apple had AirTunes which worked via the 3.5 mm stereo/optical port on AirPort Express routers.

A bit similar, except that as with any site-specific or single site browser, each website/service is treated as a unique browser aka web app.
