No, you haven't lost the plot, baz. More like the whole frigging cemetery.

Oh dear. I fear old age isn't just creeping up on poor baz. It's galloping after him with a vengeance.

Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie & Garageband for Mac & iOS are all free. https://fnd.io/#/us/search
Visit the above website, insert your particular country's App Store in the top left corner. Searching under the All tab shows iOS content first, Mac stuff is found under the Mac tab.
A particular use of fnd.io is that you can find out the cost of any paid apps you may already own, making it easier to recommend them to others.

A special deal with a bandwidth reseller masquerading as a carrier was $249 for unlimited calls within Australia & unlimited SMS messages, MMS messages excluded. Plus 42 GB of data with a 365 day period. Ignoring the calls/SMS aspect, that's $5.90 per GB of data. Which compares well with the prepaid mobile broadband deal of $60/90 days/10 GB.

Men's Shed is using approx 2.7 GB of prepaid 3G/4G data per month. So the $60/10 GB/90 day recharge seems to be the best offer from the carrier.

I have a somewhat elderly & decrepit cordless steam iron with a scratched stainless steel soleplate and a long screw jammed into the spot where the "shot-of-steam" button used to be before it broke off in a fall onto a tiled floor. I like to be able to do the ironing without the restrictions of a cord where possible. The local Aldi store opens in 7 hours. They are selling an ideal replacement with a ceramic soleplate, corded or cordless operation & it has a 1.9 metre cord, longer than usual. I aim to get one of those so I need to be there when they open for business.

I had a Lumia 1020 sitting around with a busted screen. I thought it too costly to repair at $220, but found a place that fixed it for$120.

@kdfrawg The latest version of Sierra has supposedly rectified the previous version's tendency to strip annotations from PDFs after they were shared electronically. Example : every two months I compile a crossword for the Mac User Group magazine Then I send the answers & a partially-filled out grid to the editor for inclusion in the next monthly magazine. When I was on 10.12.3, no matter what I did with annotated PDFs, they were absent when the editor opened the document.

Otherwise I agree with the "unsung hero" status of Preview.

You should, too. Very tasty meat. Almost as good (IMHO) as young goat when roasted.
