A great-great-great grandfather of mine died in 1899 aged 108. I've no desire to linger that long.

Tomorrow I drive for an hour to my sister's place to pickup our niece and take her to Mum's place where she'll be for two days before getting a train then the airport bus to fly home (about 1700 km away). If she used public transport from my sister's place to Mum's place it would involve a suburban bus trip, then a suburban train followed by a country train then a 1 km walk, it all it would take a minimum of three hours. I can do it direct in 75 minutes.

3.7 GB of iOS apps updated in iTunes on the MBA.

Highly original……

@kdfrawg 10 days ago a friend compared her 11-inch 2GB RAM/64GB SSD 2011 MBA with the 13-inch 16GB RAM/256GB SSD 2016 Touchbar MBP she had bought an hour earlier. They were virtually the same length, the MBP being about 5mm wider. The MBP is about 20mm deeper and a uniform thickness rather than wedge-shaped. It's also around 300 grams heavier and is a smaller package than the 13-inch MBA.

I see it now, when I initially followed the link, it opened showing the bottom of the page, not the upper section where that setting resides.

Might be a thing for you but I don't see it anywhere.

I lengthened the power cord of my old steam iron years ago by cutting off the plug on the cord & the socket of an extension lead, joining the two with a compact junction box wrapped in PVC tape.
Two days ago I needed the junction box to convert a fan heater to a longer power lead from an older dead heater. The junction box was mounted onto the base of the new heater.
I'm going to reconnect the leftover bits with an IEC male/female connector setup.
