Lingering gout is the prime suspect for my ankle trouble. Prescribed Prednisolone on a reducing scale: 5 tablets today; 4 tomorrow; 3 the next day, then 2 & 1 for the last two days. Xrays & ultrasound if that doesn’t work .
Plastic support struts inside the ankle brace are bearing heavily on the outer part of the ankle bone. Trying thicker socks in an attempt at cushioning.
Ganglion cysts in my left wrist are irking me at present. I’m wearing a wrist brace with a broken velcro adjusting tab. I’ve replaced it with a velcro cable wrap/tie thingie that can put pressure directly on the problem zone.
Fuck you, brain! Why you do this shit? I was trying to do some clever iOS to Mac file sharing I’d heard about and briefly tried before going to sleep last night.
Now I can find NO references on the internet & realise it was just a DREAM.
@kdfrawg Just that, as I recall, Macs with less RAM have fewer instances of swapfile generation.

Seems that strapping the dodgy ankle has been enormously helpful, I only had two twinges from the affected area today, lost count of the number yesterday.
@kdfrawg I'd recommend taking it no further than Mavrix: after that the OS tends to get cranky if RAM is limited.

Since strapping up the intermittently sore ankle, I've experienced some sharp pains but none of the nasty ones that prompted me to buy a set of forearm crutches & the ankle brace itself. Against that, however, I've mostly been in bed or seated with the weight off the affected area.
@nitinkhanna Think about it. Michael posted he had used the internet installer process to load the OS. Do you seriously believe there wouldn't be Mac App Store updates considering the OS that was loaded was Lion? A five-year-old system?
