@kdfrawg This from OWC: https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/MacBook/Pro/Core2/ says while Apple claims 4 GB, they have tested it with 6 GB & it's OK. Mine is the MacBookPro4,1 model, 2.4 GHz C2D, originally with a 200 GB HDD - which still works on backup duties in a Firewire case for the 12-in PowerBook.
@kdfrawg Not to ecxeed manufacturer supported memory. Wot kind of guff is that? My 2008 MBP with the 240 GB SSB has 2 GB of Apple RAM & 4 GB from OWC for a total of 6 GB. It works well. Except when the keyboard & trackpad stop responding. A BT keyboard & mouse fixes that, though.
@kdfrawg you can put an SSD in it, I’ve done so wirh a 2008 MBP (pre-Unibody) and a 13-in 2009 Unibody MBP.
@kdfrawg I bought a similar battery for AU$44 and it lasted 4 whole charge cycles before displaying “Service Battery.” Piece of shit. Got a refund on that junker. Replaced it with one from another supplier, no prpblems with that one, $35 more expensive than the shit one.
@kdfrawg El Capitan, I expect. That’s wot I have on a 2008 MacBook Pro with a similar battery. Of couse, you’ll need to understand that Apple laptops with their batteries removed will run slower. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/apple-macbook-pro-battery-benchmarks,6643.html
I just had to take my chameleon to the vets as he can’t change colour anymore.
He’s been diagnosed with a reptile dysfunction.
What gets longer when it's pulled..
Fits between breasts..
Inserts neatly into a hole..
And works best when jerked?
A seat belt.
