After watching a tutorial from ScreenCasts Online covering an app called Cardhop (by the developers of Fantastical) I decided to buy it. Not a cheap app - $31 - but it integrates directly with Contacts in iCloud & other associated apps such as PopClip.
Using the latter, you can copy text & have it sent directly to Cardhop as a new contact. Just like Fantastical, it has easy & intuitive parsing of text.
Hot night, last night was. My portable evaporative cooler churned through 15 litres of water.
I visited a small shopping mall on the way home yesterday, pleasantly surprise to see, in the shade by the entry, a plastic storage bin filled to ⅓ full with ice & water. It had been placed there as a courtesy by a real estate agent in the centre.
Temperature has stabilised at 26°C at 6 am. We’re shooting for 40°C again today. Unimpressed.
Down to 26°C now at 3:30 am. Still very uncomfortable but I have had some sleep.
I could see the load of thin particle board atop an overloaded panel van was poorly secured, just poorly roped onto the roof without the use of any racks.
Of course the wind of his passage got underneath and peeled each one off in turn. I managed to avoid any debris because I was expecting something like that to happen. Idiot didn't even realise he lost it.
@kdfrawg I’m splitting myself across Twitter (not much time there), Pnut, 10C, Mastodon & a former Mastodon instance known as counter.social. That’s least to most amount of time spent on each one. You can see 10C in the middle.
@sumudu Only one I know is on the Windows Phone platform, MetroTube. It lets you download vids.
