Signed up for a solar array on my roof today. There's no storage at my end, the juice goes straight out into the national grid, leaving me with a certain amount of credit, which is then applied to my actual usage.
It's estimated that there'll be a minimum of 84% reduction in power costs to me, the difference being applied over 50 months to pay off the almost $10,000 cost of the array.
The benefits of living alone, neighbouring properties with more than one person in their households are estimated to save 64% at one place & 75% at another.
Then, after the system is paid for, my annual power bills will be considerably lower than at present.
My tea haz arrived. Two bags, one of 125 grams, the other 250 grams. Took a week to arrive.
@streakmachine Office Lens does include OCR, to get it going you have to try exporting the scan to Word. Pixter by Quanticapps is my preferred iOS OCR, though. I have been a Scanner Pro user for a few years now & have also used Turbo Scan.
Back tp Pixter for OCR jobs, it's way quicker than using Office Lens.

@gtwilson Wouldn't have had much luck hunting in these parts. Broadcast FM didn't happen in Oz until 1975.
@matigo Nope. First thing the HomePod does when turned on is work out the shape of the room and redirect/retime the sound to suit.
There's definite separation of individual aspects of the music.
Listening to the original Tubular Bells recording via the HomePod speaker. I've found bits I'd not experienced previously, in the first 6 minutes there's bits of low bass where nothing happens except a thrummmmm from the woofer.
That album was recorded with a huge amount of overdubbing, should be interesting to hear segments of that.
I know the HomePod is over there to the left, sitting atop a G4 PowerMac. But I’m hearing music coming from the evaporative cooler in front of me as well.
@matigo Yep, sure does. Easy to set up, too. Just make sure WiFi & Bluetooth are connected on your iOS jigger with the Home app installed. Turn on HomePod and hold the iOS whatzit up against it to transfer various data such as passwords. Follow the onscreen instructions.
