Too expensive. A member at the Mac User Group ran an hour-long session each month with Dragon Dictate for two years. Then Siri improved massively & people stopped attending the sessions.

So Apple is getting out of the wifi router game. My current AirPort Express is the one released in 2008, I’ve had it since 2012. So do I replace it or buy a just-in-case spare? If so, do I get another Express (the 2nd gen) with two Ethernet ports for$149 or spend $30 more on a used 5th gen Extreme? I can’t afford/justify the newer 802.11ac tallboy design.

There’s a very narrow space between the mattress & bedside table. The mattress had moved on its cheap base and allowed enough space for the reading glasses to fall down the gap.

Damned inconvenient. Composing this blurb with Siri. Lost my reading glasses, they were on the bed but have fallen/been kicked/shoved off somewhere.

It's a comparison, not a shootout! A the May Mac User group main monthly meeting I'll be comparing my Home Pod against another fellow's Google Home.

I expect his device will be better as a virtual assistant while my HomePod will be a superior audio-delivery thingie.

I use an insulated soft-sided lunch bag for various communications devices, batteries, leads & even my lunch. This morning I went to get a lanyard with four different USB drives on it, last seen in the tucker bag. Couldn’t find it. Drove to the Shed venue, wasn’t there either, nor was it in the car.
Eventually found it in the tucker bag UNDER a folded sheet of A4 paper that was, in that less-than-perfect light, the same colour as (and masquerading as) the bottom of said bag.

It never went away. http://lmgtfy.com

I try to remember that when putting my boots on. Toes Go In First.

Grocery clearance shop is selling cold brew coffee concentrate at $1 per litre carton. Looks interesting, bought 2 litres.

Just took a FaceTime audio call on my MacBook Air. The fellow on the other end wondered why he was getting an engaged signal - he had contacted me via Messages app initially and called my iPhone. Which is, I think, still in the kitchen. Certainly it's within range of the Mac if I can take calls on it.
