I have found an different way of treating the burst toe blister: a gel-lined padded toe sleeve that provides cushioning protection to the affected area.
The use of a finger cot to hold the dressing onto my toe has worked. But I had to remove the bottom part of the cot as it was too constricting.
I've been trouble the last few days with a burst blister on a the toe beside the big toe on my right foot. This was caused by the toes rubbing together. Now any adhesive dressing I apply just will not stay in place. Rules in the Men's Shed (where I'll spend most of today) do not allow workshop access for anyone not wearing footware with fully enclosed toecaps. This means I can't wear open sandals at the venue & have full the workshop access needed.
So I'll apply another dressing & head for one of the three First Aid kits we maintain the the buildings we rent. I shall apply a latex "finger cot" to the affected area. This (essentially a finger condom) will hold the dressing in place.
I'm fairly sure I had no mail in the mailbox, but now that a Dominos delivery vehicle has thoroughly demolished the seven brick mailboxes, I had best check!
Mine WAS the one in the middle. And it's completely ripped away the "No Junk Mail" sign I had fitted to it.
I have informed the cat that she has to lift her game: a mouse had chewed the hose going from the pump to the drum of the washer.
Serviceman arrived early, just in time for the power to be reconnected: the solar installers had to return to fit an earthing rod that their boss had said wasn't needed. Electrical safety inspector disagreed.
Washer is fixed now.
Same day service! Washer service bloke booked in, says he should be here between 3pm & 5pm. Aslo says it shouldn't be a major problem.
Wrenched my already dodgy back in getting the leaky washer into position to access the back of it. Now it hurts a great deal when I bend over, this means I'll not be able to attempt repairs myself. Have to get a service fella in for that.
Using the drain & spin feature on the washing machine to partially wring out the clothes, sheets, towels, etc that I used to mop up the spillage from the massive leak that's evident when I try actually washing something.
Calling a service wallah tomorrow. There's a couple of excellent local blokes nearby.
