Just bought two more Li-ion batteries from Amazon to suit my growing range of Ryobi One+ power tools. These are not genuine Ryobi batteries but are fully compatible with them if my experience with a previously-purchased compatible battery pack is a rteliable indication.
The will replace the old & tired Ni-Cad batteries that originally came with the hammer drill 15 years ago.
Since the family Easter gathering will be at my sister’s newly-renovated house I had to make sure my emergency bed was operational. There are enough rooms at my sister’s home just not enough beds.
The bed I intend using is a double sized inflatable unit. It has its own mains-powered inflator/deflator but I wanted to try my new purchase, a Ryobi One+ tyre pump & low pressure inflator/deflator powered by an 18-volt cordless tool battery.
I already have three lithium-ion batteries & two older NiCad one to go with my existing Ryobi One+ tools*, so I grabbed the big one from the chainsaw in the garage.
It works, albeit slower than the mains-powered unit but its also quieter, which is handy if more air is needed during the night.
*Existing One+ tools: Hammer drill; flourescent light; wet-dry handheld vac; chainsaw; line trimmer & a multi-fold LED worklight.
Operation “Restore internet connectivity to MacBook Pro” has concluded successfully. Booting from the latest clone made on Monday was exceptionally slow. I found one (deliberately deprecated) ext SSD installation of Mojave – which will be used to run my old software that won’t work in the successor to Mojave. This one booted quickly and could get connection, so I used it to activate SuperDuper app, using the restore feature to copy the ext SSD to the Mac’s internal drive.
I wasn’t expecting the result to work well at all, just wanted to try something different since a Time Machine restoration & an attempt at reinstallation over the internet from the Recovery Drive both failed.
All's well, though. Internet is active again
Desperation time. Commenced Time Machine backup restoration on the c MacBook Pro. At least its covered by warranty?
Nope. Didn’t work. Clones won’t connect to internet either. Have to try a Time Machine restoration most likely.
I have booted the MacBook Pro from an external drive. Now all network interfaces are recognised. Most odd. Going to try it from a clone made yesterday morning. If all is OK with that, I’ll restore from that drive. Bloody frustrating.
