@matigo I’m told these are classic symptoms of the body fighting an infection. Tiredness from most available energy being used for defence. Buildup of waste matter & temperature increase each kill off viruses & bacteria.
I’m wiped out. Tired, cranky, headachy. At least the sniffles & sneezing have eased off. Now I’m coughing up green phlegm. Trying hard to stay hydrated. Can’t be bothered eating. FUCK THE WORLD.

The retirement village when the Men's Shed group meets has shut us down until further notice as a precaution re the COVID-19 outbreak. We are tenants there & have to abide by the rules. It's not just us, they've banned all public gatherings from the premises. Residents living in apartments rather than villas get their midday & evening meals in the dining room as part of their living arrangements.
This will have to cease & some way of delivering meals to such residents will have to be devised.
A few years ago at the secondary school where my youngest sister teaches, the new college nurse (appointed on a crony basis by the shifty principal) decided to establish alcohol gel handwash stations without any consultation or testing of other options.
This irritated my sister, so she got one of her science classes to assess various different cleaning agents re their ability to kill common bacteria. Options such as scented toilet soap; plain laundry soap; alcohol gel; anti-bacterial alcohol-infused moist towelettes. Of these, the one that our long-departed great-grandparents would have recognised, the laundry soap, proved in association with hot water to be the most effective anti-bacterial hand-washing options available, as well as the cheapest.
Most of the aquatic exercises given to me by the physiotherapist work my hips, thighs, and knees. One of the at-home ones involves sitting upright with the back unsupported. I then have to alternately lift each thigh without moving my torso. A week ago, that was painful in the left thigh because the muscles weren't able to handle the job. It would appear the three 45-minute aqua-therapy sessions have helped in that area, because there's much less thigh pain when doing the seated thigh lifts.
I've worked out I can handle hydrotherapy sessions three days per week: Tuesday, Friday & Sunday. For the first two days, I aim to beat the rush & get there by 6 am, but I get to sleep in on Sundays as they're not open until 8 am.
