I had a similar problem with my Toyota Yaris about 6 years ago: I rarely had to check the engine/fluid levels, but was away from home when it the clamp holding the cable sheath worked loose. I carefully drove home a few day later & left it with a mechanic who fixed it with a series of cable ties.

Not its job, settling of the stomach is why there was ginger.

In addition to reflux-induced laryngitis completely taking out my voice last week, I have an irritated throat. I mixed up an interesting non-alcoholic nightcap last night before bed: chamomile “tea” infusion with honey, lemon juice & half a teaspoon of powdered ginger. Served in a large cup, it was soothing to the throat & effectively settled the stomach. I even made another one when I woke up this morning.

I’m slowly recovering from my sudden complete lack of voice from 6 days ago. Still can’t talk for long without discomfort, so I’m keeping to myself as much as possible in order to rest my voice, as per GP’s instructions.

iBoysoft NTFS for Mac is currently ½-price: US $14.97. That buys one lifetime licence for one Mac. It enables full read & write access to a Windows NTFS drive.

Seeing a doctor in about an hour about my laryngitis, this fellow is new to the clinic so rather than strain what little voice I have, I’ve typed up a story for him.
It’s five paragraphs, 583 words & 3212 characters; the last two statistics coming from PopClip app on the Mac.

Originally only the capital city of the state but now it’s the whole state.

Few things are as awkward & depressing as being mostly unable to express oneself verbally.
My voice is currently a cross between a hoarse whisper & a weak croak. Had a very bad gastric reflux episode on Sunday night, & that’s done the damage.

Some numbnuts decided it was a good idea to have a public holiday for a blasted horse race which is on today. Which means I can’t get to see a GP until tomorrow morning.

I’ve made email contact with the clinic that installed my lapband device 10 years ago, the particular surgeon is still with them. Serious adjustments will likely need to be made to the level of saline fluid in the band to reduce the constriction.

Because of reflux it hasn’t been overly effective as a weight-loss device for something like six years anyway.
