I knew this would happen. Last night, around 8 pm I observed that my FTTN connection had dropped from 23.5 Mbps download to about 9 Mbps, which was marginally slower than my previous ADSL2+ connection. That's 'cos everybody is using it, cable internet in this part of the world is still in its infancy (and is FTTN, rather than FTTP) and there's congestion on the nodes or inlet pipes or something. It was back at 23.5 Mbps some three hours later, though. I'm paying for 25 down and 5 up.

Should work, after a fashion. I have El Crapitan installed on a 2008 MBP, but that's with a fast SSD & 6 GB of RAM.

I know for a fact that Snow Leopard, Lion & Mountain Lion can be bought from the Australian Apple store. http://www.apple.com/au/shop/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

I bought a Logitech M558 mouse in October last year. Logi claim it'll go for at least a year on a pair of alkaline cells. It's not used daily, maybe five hours a week, so far the power level is around 90%.

It's Ublock reacting poorly with the checkout page. Disable that and it displays properly, like this: 2016-08-09 at 05.55.jpg

Delta = Don't Expect Luggage To Arrive.

Sciatica has cleared up for now, still with lingering lower back pain, though. Time to do some laundry. Just about need a pestle & mortar to grind down the washing detergent. That's what you get when you buy cheap concentrate powder from grocery clearance centres: slightly dodgy products.

Just got an e-mail from a friend warning of a clever "new" credit card scam. So I fed the details into snopes.com and it turns out that while it is a genuine scam, it dates back to 2008 & can hardly be called new. http://www.snopes.com/fraud/sales/express.asp

Had toast & a cup of tea for breakfast hours ago. Shit, shower, shampoo & shave done. Back in bed waiting for the lower back pain to ease off. Which isn't happening. At all. Sciatica being in full-on mode is also curtailing my enjoyment of life.

@kdfrawg dreadful.
