Using the old slightly damaged 45 W Magsafe 1 charger from the MacBook Air to charge the 15-in MacBook Pro. It's supposed to use an 85 W charger.
Prior to fitting an SSD to this MBP, attempts to charge it with a 45 W charger would fail, although the battery wouldn't discharge further. The SSD has a much lighter power load than the HDD, it's now possible to fully charge the MBP with the MBA's charger.

In the PayPal personal info update, I struck a problem: under the address field, it wasn't accepting the "Road" part, the postal authority insisted it had to be "Street."
This needs clarification with the municipal council: at one end it says "G**** St," the other reads "G**** Rd."

You can't win.

That was odd. Responded to an email from PayPal, something wrong with my account, if not resolved by Jan 23, my account would be unusable.
Personal information was missing, middle name, address & date-of-birth.
Logged in & rectified, confirmation email from PayPal, all is OK now.

I've taken a photo of myself with books on my head. I call it a shelfie.

It seems wrong that the MBP should have a 256 GB SSD while the MBA has a 512 GB one, but I made that choice over 4 years ago. I swapped the 512 GB 5400rpm (slow) HDD for a much faster (at the time) Samsung 830 SD. As I was only using 25% of the capacity of the HDD I felt I could manage to use around 50% of a 256 GB SSD.
It's working out OK: still 117 GB free space.

Got almost 3 hours sleep before acid reflux woke me up. Temperature has come down a bit, now its 29.4˚C, down from 30˚. Urk.
Looks like being a hot one again today, mid-30s at least.

Last week sometime we had the hottest night for over a decade, the temperature never dropped below 27˚C. Well, it's now 1:20 am & 30˚. Uncomfortable.

I've mislaid the battery charger for my Ricoh R10 digital camera. Looking online, a replacement is around $30 including postage, however a local electrical store sells a universal NiCd/NiMh/Li-ion chargers for $19. They look pretty good & come with home & car charging adaptors. Their website says they're in stock, too.

I haven't been using the MacBook Pro much these last couple of months, so I'm using it now & I've put the MacBook Air aside for a few days or maybe a week.

$25 for Mike Oldfield's latest (2014) album in iTunes? Na, screw that. That's 2 months worth of Apple Music, I'll get it that way.
