Surfin' USA! ??

Yep, the length of the rest breaks is determined by how she feels. For about half the distance the speed limit is 110kph, we averaged 85kph. Of the rest there's 100kph, 80kph & 60kph on the suburban roads. I'm about to have a cup of tea and rest for a couple of hours.

Back at Mum's place, 5½ hours after leaving the motel. Had two breaks of about 45 minutes total, covered 404 km.

Left the motel at 8:34 am, stopped a a McDonalds McCafe after about 100 minutes of travel. Had a flat white ( really good coffee) and a small carrot cake. Left there 65 minutes ago, taking a toilet break after travelling 266 km in 3 hours. Expect to be back at Mum's place in 90 minutes or so.

Was showing my widowed aunt some old (1932 & 1961) photos on my phone. She was interested in getting copies of two of them, so I offered to print & mail them to her.

Then back at the motel I decided to order the prints via the Mac's Photos app instead. Much easier. Done.

No, not as such. But there is now: the RSMs three sons have all served in Afghanistan & Iraq.

Two of Uncle Harry's sons, also my first cousins.

Uncle Harry at his best.

I checked my superannuation fund this morning, it's currently getting 7.4% pa on a conservative mix of investments.

I'm well pleased with that.

Motel units never have enough power outlets for a switched-on guy like me. That's why I carry a small powerboard in the car: it has a pair of three-pin Australian 240 volt outlets and four USB charging ports for a total of 2.1 Amps. Currently* it's charging the iPad Mini, iPod Touch & its battery case plus a 12,000 mAh lithium-ion battery pack.
