Motel wifi under extreme load. Failing horribly. I normally get 2.9 MBps download on my FTTN connection at home, this WiFi actually peaked at 2.9 KBps. Briefly.

Done my ironing at the motel, now internetting with a hot cup of tea.

Mum decided we wanted Chinese takeaway. Got it but rather disappointed in the allegedly hot dish. If it had any hot spice it was on its great-grandmother's side of the family.

It's back. I have plenty of data on the iPad, even though there's no LTE here.

WiFi router must be at the other end of the motel: cos I'm back on 3G.

Six hours after leaving Mum's place, we're in the motel with the A/C on full blast. Motel WiFi is not fast but sufficient.

Doing just that. A cup of tea each & a shared ham & cheese toasted sandwich. The tea was nice but the use of white bread made the toastie a bit ordinary, no choice of other breads. Sourdough rye or wholemeal would have been much nicer.

Thing is, PayPal did make contact because my account needed work recently. The email took a somewhat different form. They'd somehow lost my credit card details.

Getting there. Travelled 158km, 263 to go. Beautiful day, but going to be much hotter later.

I rather think this isn't from PayPal……
