Shop had two different Comsol-brand QI induction charging plates, one twice the surface area of the other, thereby having more induction coils for a faster charge. Both were significantly discounted, under 50% of normal price. The larger was $40, only $5 more than the other. The small one is a pad, the large takes the form of a stand, with a fold-out lip so the phone can't slip off it.
Glanced up at the top of the screen at the low battery level indicator, thought I saw 100%. "How can that be?" thinks I.
Oh. It's the time. 10:01 am.
Not falling for that one, you bastards, it's just too different. I received an email on the iPhone allegedly from Apple.
But tapping the sender's email, revealed something rather different.
Now with the #thememonday ADN vote being available, I sort of regret closing those other two accounts over there, I could only vote with two IDs instead of the four I used to run.
@schmidt_fu Sunset Monday is so boring. Vote for Apocalypse Monday!

One of the first apps I ever bought for Mac OS X was MP3 Trimmer. I have just used it in Sierra (bought it when using Jaguar, 10.2) to trim a section of a Mike Oldfield track. It was a particular 6 minute & 5 second section from Hergest Ridge Part 2, from 9'31" to 15'36". My version of Hergest Ridge is from the Boxed Collection (I have both CD & vinyl versions) and when I imported the trimmed selection into iTunes, it was magically given the original Hergest Ridge album artwork. I'm pleased with that result.
The process can be done with QuickTime X but it's a two-stage operation & results in a .m4a (AAC) instead of the desired .mp3 which can be burned to a CD for use in the car.
Open exported .mp3 file in QT X and select "Trim" from Edit on the menubar & save the trimmed file. This will be in .mov format. Now open that one in QT X & export the audio. Oh, look. It's a silly .m4a file that needs more conversion. With some preference-fiddling in iTunes, it can be converted into .mp3 format again but that's an extra four steps.
@sumudu In this Australian state, it the Labour Day long weekend, Monday being a public holiday in celebration of the 8 hour working day, granted for the first time in May of 1856. So here the weekend is not even 1/2 over.
@gtwilson I believe Lucas Electrical (UK) once made a vacuum cleaner. For once, they actually made an electrical item that didn't suck.*
*Apocryphal.
Local office supply store may (or may not!) have a wireless QI charger in stock at a very reasonable price. The Lumia 1520 has QI charging builtin.
