I have just configured my iPod Touch to act as a home phone handset for both incoming & outgoing voice calls. I just have to be within wifi range of my router/modem. The specific app from the carrier has to be installed & open, though.
TIL the Lumia 1520 (6" screen) has a one-handed mode: tap & hold the home button @ the top half of the screen goes dark, leaving all the action happening within reach of most thumbs.
@indigo When I make it I use an old ceramic burr manual coffee grinder to finely crush the cardamon seeds and brew the coffee & cardamon together. I find the husks of the cardamon pods don't make it through the grinder's burrs and are left behind in the upperworks of the grinder.

Mum isn't in the habit of throwing stuff out. My sister & her husband were visiting from a few 1000 km away and my sister found some battery-powered salt & pepper grinders. She asked me where the batteries were kept as she couldn't find the right sized ones. I asked why they were needed in such quantity: 12 AAA cells. She pointed at the grinders. I replied that they should have been tossed out 11 months ago when they stopped working, their motors had siezed up, first the salt one then the pepper a few weeks later.
