Forty years ago my driving instructor would insist that I try to maintain the urban speed limit of 60 kph wherever possible. Learners aren't taught that now, I was stuck behind two of the shits today, going barely 32 kph in a 50 zone.

Trying to undo 40 years of incorrect driving behaviour. For example, it seems I would have better car control with less tiredness by holding the steering wheel at the east & west portions of the wheel, if one imagines it as being a compass.

Just about knackered with that short walk. From optometrist to bank to deposit a cheque then to the pharmacy for essential pills & creams was about 350 metres & another 300 back to the car. Knees & right hip protesting enormously.

funny how hurricanes, cyclones & typhoons only differ in their locations.

Gonna take about two weeks to get my glasses fixed. Would have had them today if I'd been able to find the lens that dropped out. Being fixed under warranty. No cost to me other than not having my proper computer glasses.

9°C outside. Inside I am cold despite room heater & electric blanket being on. Wearing thick clothes. Bed has 2 duvets, both thick.
Even so, I'm shivering like a dog shitting out razor blades. #FuckMyLife

I woke up at 4.04 yesterday morning and thought my phone had malfunctioned.

Guess I'm not gonna find the missing lens. My prescription reading glasses are the wrong focal length for comfortable desktop computer usage, but some plain pharmacy-sourced magnifiers do that job well enough. SpecSavers opens in a shade over 6 hours, they'll be able to arrange for an replacement lens & screw. A screw fell out (worked loose) and I lost the left lens somewhere.

Been searching for the missing lens. No go. Found a watch though.

Shit. Sometime in the last hour, I have lost one of the lenses from my extended-focus reading/computer glasses. It's somewhere in a very messy bedroom. Back to using my plain reading glasses.
