I have the reverse of that problem: text replacements I no longer wish or need to use keep reappearing in both iOS & macOS despite having been deleted previously. It’s all to do with the central repository on iClod (sic) being inaccessible to the user.

My iPhone runs hot when used as a SatNav. What’s needed is a way of securely mounting it in the air conditioning air stream. I have goind the answer: a Belkin Car Cup Mount. The base expands to fit any size of cup holder, the grabbers on the phone holder are spring-loaded and the head can tilt through 90° & rotate to hold the device in portrait or landscape orientation. It’s ideal for my meeds.

A week on Saturday will be the 2nd anniversary of the purchase of the 21.5" iMac by the Men's Shed. It's been an absolute godsend as well as giving me something to do as I'm mostly useless at the normal type of hand-on shed activities.

Apple have release a supplemental update to 10.13. via the App Store update process.
Mainly security fixes, especially with the new APFS. https://www.macrumors.com/2017/10/05/apple-releases-macos-high-sierra-10-13-supplemental-update/
Also available as a direct download for updating multiple Macs, see: http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL1937/en_US/macOSUpd10.13Supplemental.dmg

Both my APFS (SSD) MacBook Air & the HFS+ (Fusion drive) iMac show the update in the MAS, so I'm doing the direct download.

@kdfrawg There's QuickLook plugins for that. Such as this one: https://macitbetter.com/BetterZip-Quick-Look-Generator/
Select the compressed file. Tap the spacebar once. I've been using a different one for many years, almost as long as QuickLook has been around.

Almost 0230. Quite unable to sleep. Can’t figure out why is not happens.

I didn't quite understand the process, so I queried the original Tweeter. He and another helpful fellow supplied the process & the pic.

This is most interesting, I believe.
I knew some of these Mobile Safari long-press tricks but not all ten.

Not an extension, but this: If you use Google Chrome, go to

chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy

and set it to "Document user activation is required."

chromefix

I found it on Twitter yesterday.

Eventually retrieved item from post office: it's a USB 3.1-to-SATA adaptor cable that lets me operate an elderly external SSD at twice the read/write speed as USB3.0-to-SATA interface. I already had the capability of such a connection speed, but it needed a Thunderbolt 3-to-Thunderbolt 2 adaptor plus a Thunderbolt 1-to-SATA interface & a Thunderbolt 1 cable. This is much less fiddly.
