Feb 16, 1983. With a few workmates I was sitting in a shallow creek looking to the west at the reddish sky. There had been big dust storms for the last week or so. But there was something else this day. SMOKE! We piled into our trucks an made off westward.
A tale involving bushfires from my past. True story. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ei8it671wkovezb/Firey%20time.doc
@larand I was evacuated in the 1983 fires which came to within 1 km of the caravan park I had moved into four months previously. Not many possessions & all fitted into my little van.
@larand What's the temperature, Larry? Thinking back to the last severe fires we had that started on Feb 7, 2009, it was 47℃ in the capital city. Eventually there were 255,000 hectares of forest lost as well as 173 lives. In total there were about 400 fires throughout the state that day. Victoria is about half the area of California.
How about this for an idea, Time Machine? How about doing the fucking backup instead of preparing - which you’ve been doing for the last 14 fucking minutes.
Testing the waterproofness or otherwise of a 6th gen iPod Touch case bought recently. I have a dead iPod Touch that was killed by being drowned so it’s not so vital if the test fails.
