Mum's Uncle Geoff used to run this pub in the 1970s.

His wife had been an alcoholic for over 40 years by then. When I got to visit in 1982, he was dying in hospital & his daughter & son-in-law were running it for him. They sold a few years later after the son-in-law, Tony died very suddenly aged 37.

I'd completely forgotten about a Mac app called CoconutBattery, it checks the battery life of the Mac & any iOS devices that are connected via USB sync cable.
An iOs app called Battery Life says my iPhone SE's battery capacity has been reduced by 8% from its full design capacity of 1624 mAh. This is confirmed by CoconutBattery.

Interesting. I’ve been taking high (not excessive) doses of anti-inflammatory meds & have greatly increased the range of pain-free movement in the arthritic left knee. Still not fabulous, but good progress.

Which is what you should ALWAYS do before any upgrade. Also test the backup before installing the new thingie.

I have dozens of blank DVDs, both dual & single layer. But this project was to burn an audio CD & the only one I could find was scratched. So out came the cut & polish for the car. All fixed, burned OK, even though the verification failed.

In my case I’m quite happy with the ISP-supplied FTTN system wireless router/modem. It’s a French-built Thomson Gateway unit.

Exactly.

Unlike the AirPort, it’s a modem & router, not just a router

Quite tasty, that frozen microwave meal. Tender beef strips in a red wine sauce, with green beans, julienned carrots & garlic mashed potatoes. And cheap: $2.50 from a grocery clearance store.

It only hurts when I try to move it, the bad knee, that is. But it's complicated by the sore lower back, I can't sit or lie down for very long without either the knee of back being difficult.
