Corrugated gravel road. Uphill. 2nd gear was too high a ratio for that particular spot, so I changed down to bottom gear. Instead of scrabbling madly for traction as previous vehicles have, this one activated the traction control and proceeded along with minimal wheelspin.
If I associate my credit card with the EezyWash iOS/Android app I can buy time or cleaning services at my local car wash centre without needing to use coins or tokens. Not sure how it works at the car wash equipment end though.
Off on a cheese-hunting expedition to a factory an hour away. They do goat & cow’s milk. Another 5 km away is a supermarket that sells water buffalo-milk cheese from a cheesery that’s at least 4 hours away by car. Plus there’s a chocolate factory nearby.
I have a large portable evaporative cooler connected to the mains power via a remote controlled power adaptor. Lately, the remote controller hasn’t been working. A few minutes ago I started dismantling the device to see if there were any loose connections. With the first of three screws partially removed, I spotted a code reset button. Pressing this restored functionality to the controller.
@gtwilson Feeling for you, buddy. My own injuries from the collision 4 weeks ago that killed my last car have mostly subsided. The visible bruising on my chest & belly (from the pyrotechnically-activated seatbelt pretensioner) have gone but the groin strain is still somewhat evident.
@matigo Years ago the easiest time of the year working for the BigPhoneCompany was the couple of days between Xmas & the new year. Officially called the "intervening days" they were colloquially referred to as the "interfering days" instead. There was usually very little urgent work & the pace was easy.

Found a good iOS battery monitor app. It tells me my iPhone SE’s battery wear level is 8%, which means in effect that the device’s 1.8 GHz processor has been slowed by 8%. 8% is low battery wear. App info: Battery Life by RBT Digital LLC.
Trying to link to the Amazon app dev’s website is a complete disaster, it’s a dead link. Utterly useless arrogant CUNTS.
Fucking Amazon. You can select Australia as one of the English-speaking countries on the list in Settings with the iPhone app. But not with the iPad app that has the same version number. No good trying to link to the app’s website, either, the link redirects you to Amazon Canada.
Consequently I use the web app on iPad instead of the fucked-out shitful “official” iPad app.
