@jextxadore I recall you posted a link to an article on cold brewing methods, I have saved that website as a pdf somewhere on one of my Macs.

@variablepulserate The bills are smaller but I’m paying off the cost of the panels & installation over a 4-year period. Three years & 6 weeks to go.
@hazardwarning It makes a concentrated coffee which you can dilute & reheat.

@larand I’ve been getting my coffee from a place called Mareeba to the west of Cairns, on the Atherton Tablelands https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php Queensland for several years now. They grow & roast their own beans as well as sourcing stuff from around the world, I’m currently working my way through a ½ kg bag of Ethiopean Mocha beans.
Skybury are located 10 minutes drive west of Mareeba.

Extreme weather contitions - temps over 40ºC - strained the state’s power generation yesterday (it's Saturday now) - regulators bought in extra power from interstate interconnectors but because of failed generators at two coal-fired plants, the imported energy wasn’t enough to cover demand.
Calls went out to buisnesses to curtail their energy use in exchange for a monetary bonus and rolling stoppages were called in more affluent suburbs but still it wasn’t enough.
Apparently my location was affected by these rolling temporary blackouts but I never noticed: my solar panel array covered my energy needs. It’s set up to only use outside power when internal demand exceeds solar output.
Maintenance works on the systems providing my FTTN broadband connection have shut down my connection until 6 am tomorrow, it’s as good as midnight now.
Current internet is being supplied by internet hotspot sharing from a Nokia Lumia 1520, my spare mobile phone (and a damn fine camera, too). I have an annual allowance of 80 GB on that device & I’m yet to use half of that tally, still have 57 GB remaining & the expiry date is early in March.
Nice to have options.
If you’ve never had to rewind a cassette tape using your finger, you have no right to complain about buffering.
