@matigo We got to it in time to prevent that. The salvage attempts started within an hour of him being scammed.
With the Covid-19 restrictions currently in force, the only way to do Christmas this year is to kill a turkey and have 20 people over for the funeral.
@sumudu It’s a USB hub that clips onto the vent holes at the bottom edge of the iMac.
@matigo You’re lucky! My current 2020 SE is worth NOTHING! Doesn’t even appear on the list.
Scored a couple of handy devices on Amazon Prime Day(s) yesterday. Both delivered today in one parcel via courier.

The iPhone 12’s battery life is claimed to be 17 hours of video playback, the same for the iPhone 11. The 12 Mini is supposed to be good for 15 hours under the same circumstances compared to the new SE at just 13 hours. I have no trouble getting a day’s use out of my SE’s battery.

Of all the devices announced at the iPhone event, only one is really useful to me, that’s a Space Grey HomePod Mini.
Why Space Grey, you ask? Because my stereo pair of HomePods accessed by the Apple TV 4k are white & show dust too well.
First I bought a HomePod for use in the bedroom. Great for time & weather check, as well, as its audio credentials. When I acquired the Apple TV, the HomePod joined it as the audio component. It was joined about a year later by another HomePod when an electrical store chain slashed the price by 36%. The two were cojoined by the Home app as a stereo pair for the Apple TV.
Leaving me with no HomePod in the bedroom. I can’t afford another full sized one, so A$149 for a Mini is the plan.
