@variablepulserate No. much more effective
@variablepulserate I've yet to bring the bins in. Friday was a dreadfully painful day with my lower back and knees seemingly going on strike and hurting when I moved. In desperation I phoned a friend, who came over with a spray bottle of bliss. It's a sports injury topical spray (also available as a roll-on gel) with remarkable pain and inflamation-fighting capabilities. The gel for kept things under control yesterday (Saturday).
@variablepulserate They would if I hadn’t procastrinated & left it until 9after 9pm…
Bin night. Very bad back pain day. I'll have to massage some pain relief gel into the area before I can attempt to make two trips out to the road towing wheelie bins. It's 50 metres each way and I'm not looking forward to it. 20 years ago I would enjoy walking a few km. Now I can barely manage 500 m without a walking aID OF SOME KIND.

…Just set it to the name of the current UK Prime minister and you should be fine.
Ventura installed on MacBook Pro (2017 Escape key model) 4k iMac (2017) and M1 MacBook Air (2020). iPadOS 16.1 is on the iPad Air 5 & Mini 5. Updated the iPhone 13 Mini to iOS 16.1. Continuity Camera in webcam mode is really neat, later today I'm buying a 'Belkin iPhone Mount with MagSafe for Mac notebooks' so I can attach the iPhone to the MacBook Air. Desktop View is surprisingly effective, it uses the ultrawide lens from the back of the iPhone.
Stage Manager is a good idea on the iPad Air but I've no use for it yet on the Mac.
A package arrived today: a 12South AirFly Pro, a really clever Bluetooth audio interface that can be used to supply audio from a headphone jack to Bluetooth headphones OR to connect a Bluetooth audio source to an automotive sound system with a 3.5mm audio input socket.
Another external HD failure, this time a drive purchased in September 2020, so it’s just outside the 24-month consumer law quality/fit-for-purpose regulations. It was used for one of two weekly Time Machine backups for my MacBook Pro and later for the MacBook Air that replaced it. The defective device was a 2 TB G-Technology G-Drive hard disk.
The 2 TB capacity was excessive, really. I prefer to allow 2.5 to 3 times a Mac’s inbuilt storage for Time Machine backups, so a 256 GB Mac would need 640 to 768 GB of backup capacity, best filled by a 1 TB drive.
I’ve ordered a LaCie Rugged 1TB HDD with USB-C connectivity, in the interim Sunday backups are being done on a 480 GB SSD.

@variablepulserate As far as I can tell, the main difference between a Scotch pie (silly name for something lacking whisky) and an Aussie meat pie is the pastry, a hot water crust for the Scotch and an unsweetened short-crust for the Aussie product.
@variablepulserate My oldest niece will be visiting for lunch today, which will feature English pork pies, Scottish oatcakes and assorted cheeses and pickles. And, I imagine, much strong tea.
